Adoptive parent groups can offer support and/or social events for families created through adoption. Some have monthly or periodic meetings and are open to prosepctive adoptive parents who want to learn more about adoption. Most groups are organized by parents around a particular adoption experience, such as intercountry adoption, special needs adoption, singles adopting, etc.

The AICI provides this list as a service, but does not endorse any of these groups due to a lack of resources to evaluate them. Groups listed completed a questionnaire describing their services and indicated a willingness to be available as a resource. You may wish to contact those groups in your geographic area to learn which match your adoption interest or need.
